Nagelsmann says Kai had a minor relapse in update on Jamal Musiala | OneFootball

Julian Nagelsmann has given a fitness update on Kai Havertz and Jamal Musiala after Germany routed Slovakia to seal their place at next year's World Cup.

According to BuLi News, the head coach said Arsenal's Havertz suffered a minor relapse but is otherwise doing well. He added that Bayern's Musiala no longer has major issues, though both must regain rhythm with their clubs.

Nagelsmann expects the pair to return to action near the end of the year. He noted they have until March to reach full fitness, but stabilising now is important.

He was also upbeat about the recoveries of Real Madrid's Antonio Rüdiger and Barcelona's Marc-André ter Stegen, while stressing that uncontrollable factors make predicting his World Cup squad impossible at this stage.

Nagelsmann cautioned he cannot simply plan for Havertz and Musiala to play leading roles, given several players have been unavailable over nearly a year.
