Nahitan Nández says Riquelme called about Boca return

"I am 30, I have been away from home a long time, my two children are in Uruguay, on the other side of the world. These are the things that make you think about moving closer to home again," he told El Espectador.

"Román sent me a message at the time. We were in contact for a while. He says I left a nice memory at Boca. He would like me to wear the shirt again."

"The other day he sent me, a bit as a joke, asking if I was going to stay on holiday in Saudi Arabia or if I wanted to come back to Boca."

Nández played for Boca between 2017 and 2019, departing on 31 July 2019.

He has a contract in Saudi Arabia until June 2027, so any return in the short term would require a complex exit or a wait until closer to the end of his deal.
