Nani has declared his affection for Corinthians and outlined tentative coaching plans, even as the 39-year-old continues his playing career with Aqtobe in Kazakhstan.

The Euro 2016 winner and former Manchester United winger has launched the Nani Football Academy in Portugal, developing players born between 2010 and 2019 as he prepares for a move into coaching.

That pathway brought him to Brazil for the IberCup, a prominent youth tournament for boys aged seven to 14. Nani took charge of the 2013-born group, which includes his son, Lucas, following time in Sporting’s academy.

"I already have my coaching qualification. So it is something I am enjoying with the children. But we will see, only the future will tell," he said.

Corinthians continue to draw admirers from Portugal. Rafael Leão used the CT Joaquim Grava facilities during his holidays, while João Cancelo and João Félix watched the 2-2 draw with Botafogo at Neo Química Arena in the 2025 Campeonato Brasileiro.
