Nantes overpowered Marseille 3-0 on Saturday, inspired by an Abline masterclass that keeps the Canaris believing in survival. Marseille were subdued and blunt, with Aubameyang largely anonymous.

Machado went off injured on 22 minutes, with Acapandié on at 26. Cabella could not convert at 33, Kaba missed a counter at 36, and Guilbert lashed a 30-metre volley at 37. According to L'Équipe, Abline was involved throughout and Aubameyang scarcely influenced proceedings.

Before the break, Carlgren won a one-on-one with Aubameyang on 41 minutes. He then denied Lago at 48 with the game still goalless. Guilbert's aggression started the move that ended with Abline teeing up Ganago for 1-0 on 50.

Ganago returned the favour at 54, setting up Cabella to double the lead. Abline then produced a double touch between Medina and Balerdi before beating De Lange to settle it.

Carlgren stayed sharp, notably against Gouiri on 66 and a Greenwood strike on 85. Halilhodzic's choices, with Ganago leading the line and Cabella left, brought his first win since returning to the Nantes bench. Nantes' average rating was 6.4.
