Nantes beat Marseille 2-0 at the Vélodrome to end a seven-match Ligue 1 winless run and rise from 17th to 16th.

In the 26th minute Arthur Vermeeren was sent off for a straight red, leaving Les Phocéens down to 10 men.

Fabien Centonze then forced the breakthrough for Les Canaris from close range (31.). He departed injured at the interval.

Bilal Nadir received a second yellow and was sent off (56.), reducing Les Olympiens to nine.

Matthis Abline won a penalty after Benjamin Pavard fouled him (86.). Rémy Cabella converted from the spot (88.).
