Nantes likely line-up v PSG: Alban Lafont to make unlikely return | OneFootball

Since Anthony Lopes joined FC Nantes in January from Olympique Lyonnais, Alban Lafont has been nowhere near the first-team. The former Toulouse FC has not even been included in matchday squads, however, he is expected to start against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.

Lafont’s demotion was dramatic and in recent weeks, he has been playing for the club’s reserve side in the National 3, the fifth tier of French football. However, Lopes sustained an injury during the 2-1 defeat to Stade Rennais on Friday and has not sufficiently recovered. Lafont therefore gets a recall for Nantes and is set to start against PSG.

Marcus Coco, meanwhile, is suspended for the encounter, whilst Francis Coquelin remains sidelined with injury. Sorba Thomas has been left out of the matchday entirely. That is a choice taken by Antoine Kombouaré, not linked to any injury.
