Nathan Zézé (19) is gathering interest around Europe this summer, from the Premier League to Serie A’s champions Inter Milan, who have seen their opening bid being rejected. Nantes’ centre back would favour a move to Italy rather than the Premier League, reveals Foot Mercato.
After making his professional debut at 17, Zézé pursued his development at Nantes last season, taking part in 14 games across all competitions and being a regular starter during the second part of the season. The left-footed centre back is touted as one of Nantes’ biggest prospects and despite a contract running until 2028, he could leave his formative club this summer as lots of suitors are queuing up. While he is expected to be a guaranteed starter alongside Jean-Charles Castelletto (29) next season, Zézé is reportedly interested in Inter Milan’s project, who have sent a €12M bid to Nantes.
According to Foot Mercato, Zézé would be keen on joining Inter Milan this summer. However, the French outlet reveals that the 19-year-old defender will not force a move to the Serie A champions’ and would agree to stay if the Lombardy side fail to find an agreement with Nantes. It remains to be seen whether Inter Milan will improve their €12M proposal.
