Luis Castro will be happy to hear that two of his key players will be options for him over the next two matches.
With the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) around the corner, it was believed that the FC Nantes manager could be missing Mostafa Mohamed (28) and Chidozie Awaziem (28) following their matchday 15 encounter with RC Lens.
Mohamed will feature for Egypt at the continental tournament, with Awaziem preparing to play for Nigeria. Neither was expected to be available for December 12th, when they face Angers SCO. However, the matter has been resolved. L’Équipe reports that Castro will be able to count on both men for the next two matches.
La Maison Jaune will be desperate to utilise them in hopes of collecting points and remaining above the relegation line. Heading into their meeting with the league leaders, they sit 16th in the table, only above FC Metz on goal difference, and are at risk of automatic relegation.
Nantes have dropped points in five successive Ligue 1 affairs.
