FC Nantes have rejected an offer from Serie A champions Inter Milan, ranging between 12 and €13m including bonuses, for their centre-back Nathan Zézé (19), according to a report this Monday from Ouest-France. The 19-year-old defender has long been touted as a promising Nantes academy prospect after making his Ligue 1 debut at only 17. The left-footed centre-back was a regular starter in the second part of the 2023-2024 Ligue 1 campaign for Les Canaris.
Zézé is expected to retain his starting spot alongside Cameroon international centre-back Jean-Charles Castelletto (29) in Antoine Kombouaré’s team for next season. The outlet understands that Nantes have no intention to sell Zézé, who has recently extended his deal with his formative club until 2028. Ouest-France hints that the Ligue 1 club’s stance may change in the event of a bidding war to acquire the services of Zézé, with English clubs monitoring the French-Ivorian centre-back.
