Consistent output at Toulouse FC (83 appearances, 25 goals, nine assists) saw Zakaria Aboukhlal (25) earn an €8m move to Torino over the summer, however, the Morocco international has since found his game time very limited. The forward has played just 235 minutes of football across all competitions since joining the Turin-based club. Despite signing a deal that runs until the summer of 2029, he has not started a game for his club since 14th September.
His future could lie back in France, according to a report from Ouest-France, who understand that FC Nantes have seen a loan bid accepted by the Serie A side. All that is lacking is the agreement of the player. A response is expected very soon. Aboukhlal has already spoken with Ahmed Kantari, who replaced Luís Castro as manager of Les Canaris earlier this month, over the phone. The club are currently mired in a relegation battle.
