Following yesterday’s reports that five Toulouse players were refusing to take part in this afternoon’s game against Nantes as a result of a league-wide campaign against homophobia, Ouest-France now indicate that Les Canaris forward Mostafa Mohamed has also declined to wear a shirt with a rainbow flag on it.
The relegation-threatened side were travelling south to face the team that beat them in the Coupe de France final last month – but they will take to the field without Mohamed, who has stayed at the hotel and made the club aware of his decision just thirty minutes before the teams were to be announced.
On top of the team sheet uncertainty, the match has also been delayed by an hour and a half as a result of a suspicious package found in the away end, with the 150 Nantes fans being told to stay in their coaches for the time being.
Ouest-France also indicate that an altercation took place between the club’s General Manager Franck Kita – the son of president Waldemar – and omnipresent agent Mogi Bayat.
