Last weekend, Kevin De Bruyne sustained a severe injury to his right thigh. The incident occurred during Napoli's 3-1 victory over Inter. The Belgian international was operated on Monday in Antwerp. In an official statement, the Italian club confirmed that the surgery—performed to treat a high-grade lesion of the biceps femoris—was "perfectly executed."

The player is expected to be sidelined for an estimated four to five months. He will now begin the initial phase of his rehabilitation in Belgium, under the supervision of Napoli's medical staff.
