Serie A giants Napoli and Premier League side Chelsea have now resumed talks for striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian has been wanting a move to Napoli for a while now but it has been blocked by the situation of Victor Osimhen.
La Gazzetta dello Sport state now that talks between both clubs are now on once again. Chelsea’s position is still the same, as they only want a permanent transfer and would sell him for a bit less than the release clause of about €43 million.
Napoli have offered €25 million plus bonuses so far but the feeling is that progress is being made now. Since talks have begun again, more movement could take place. Napoli’s loss to Verona yesterday has prompted them to make in-roads into the move and give Antonio Conte what he wants.
It would be a separate deal from the Osimhen move, with the Nigerian still interesting Chelsea.
