Serie A champions Napoli take on Manchester City in the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium today but the Partenopei can now change formation.
Usually, Napoli operate in a 4-1-4-1 shape on paper under Antonio Conte and while they are flexible when operating, the Italian is considering a change.
Il Mattino, via CN24, report that Napoli can line up in a 4-4-2 shape on Thursday. How this changes their system remains to be seen but Conte can opt for some changes to the side.
Vanja Milinkovic-Savic is expected to start, even though Alex Meret is back fit. Matias Olivera should start in place of Leonardo Spinazzola, with the Italian having featured against Fiorentina on Saturday.
The midfield four is expected to have Matteo Politano, Stanislav Lobotka, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Scott McTominay. Kevin de Bruyne is expected to partner Rasmus Hojlund upfront, forming a front two which Conte hasn’t played yet.
