Napoli make loan approach to sign Chelsea centre-back | OneFootball

Napoli have approached Chelsea over a potential loan move for Benoit Badiashile.

Badiashile has struggled to establish himself at Chelsea since arriving from AS Monaco for a fee of £32.7m in 2023. The defender has started only 24 league games across his three seasons at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea open to offers this summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli are exploring a deal to sign the Frenchman. The Italian side have approached Chelsea over a potential loan move for Badashile, with an option to make the move permanent.

Xabi Alonso is currently assessing his defensive options with Badiashile expected to be moved on as part of a defensive reshuffle.

Chelsea have interest in signing Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace, with initial contact made, and also admire Como defender Jacobo Ramon.

Alongside Badiashile, Axel Disasi and Trevoh Chalobah could also move on. Disasi spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham, while Chalobah has suitors in Como and Inter Milan.
