Napoli outcast Lang first choice for Ajax if Godts joins PSG | OneFootball

Napoli are hoping that Ajax manage to sell Mika Godts to Paris Saint-Germain, because there are Dutch reports their first choice to replace him is outcast Noa Lang.

There are multiple sources confirming that PSG are in advanced talks for Godts, and even though there remains a gap between the clubs on the €60m asking price, it should be bridged fairly soon.

According to Voetbal International, Ajax are looking for a replacement and their first choice is Lang.

Napoli eager to be rid of Lang

This would be a boon for the Partenopei, who do not see the Dutch international as part of their plans going forward.

The 27-year-old was a big investment at €25m from PSV Eindhoven last summer, but struggled to make an impact and had real problems getting along with coach Antonio Conte.

He was loaned out to Galatasaray for €2m in January, and now Napoli are trying to find him a new club, as Max Allegri isn’t too interested in revitalising him either.

Ajax would be a good step for Lang, who spent time in their youth academy and remained on their books until the 2021 sale to Club Brugge for €6m.

Napoli would be more than content just to not make a loss on the sale at this point.
