Napoli Coach Antonio Conte is set to completely revolutionize the midfield ahead of the season, as the Partenopei prepare a double assault for Billy Gilmour and Marco Brescianini for the centre park.
Journalist Nicolo Schira reports that Napoli are willing to offload Jens Cajuste after a poor first season with the Azzurri, as well as Gianluca Gaetano whom has failed to impress and is not considered in Conte’s plans.
As it stands, Cagliari and Parma are currently in competition to acquire the Italian international, whilst several European clubs have inquired for information regarding the Swedish midfielder.
As a result, the Partenopei are plotting to use the funds obtained from the pair of departures for a double-swoop within the midfield.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports, via TMW, that Napoli are set to relaunch an increased bid for Billy Gilmour after Premier League outfits Brighton rejected their opening €10m bid, with the hopes of acquiring the primary candidate to replace Piotr Zielisnki’s offensive presence in the midfield.
Furthermore, Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano indicates that Napoli have scheduled a new round of negotiations for Frosinone midfielder Marco Brescianini, as he also tops the priority list ahead of the 2024/25 season.
