Serie A champions Napoli are trying to beat Inter in a move for Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman and are ready to offer a bigger wage package.

Corriere dello Sport, via AreaNapoli, have reported that Napoli have delivered an offer to the Nigerian through his entourage and it is quite a significant offer.

Atalanta want a fee of €50 million to sell the player, with Inter offering a lower amount. Napoli are offering a wage packet of €5 million to the attacker, with Inter’s offer only at €4 million per season.

The belief is that Antonio Conte’s side could also be closer to Atalanta’s price tag than Inter and if they do make an offer, Lookman would be keen on a switch to the Partenopei.

It remains to be seen if these are pressure tactics from the player’s entourage, who have done something similar many times in the last 12 months.
