Napoli Unlikely To Budge On Kvicha Kvaratskhelia As Interest In Winger Grows

Napoli are increasingly likely to lose Victor Osimhen this summer, but at this moment in time, it seems unlikely that Kvicha Kvaratskhelia will be following him out the exit door. Kvaratskhelia has spoken of his desire to leave Napoli this summer and play for another club in recent weeks, but that is not set to change the minds of the people making the decisions at the Italian side.

The club does not want to let the player leave, which was highlighted by the president Aurelio De Laurentiis and Antonio Conte in recent weeks, and we understand the situation remains the same since the latest comments from the club. Kvaratskhelia remains a Napoli player, and the club feels it will remain that way this season.

Napoli Remain Firm On Kvaratskhelia:

Kvaratskhelia recently suggested he will decide on his future after the EURO’s, with clubs like Liverpool interested in his signature. The player’s agent and his father spoke out against Napoli last week, pleading with the club to allow the Georgian to move on to a new venture in the summer. Kvara’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, declared he did not want people to think the player wished to remain at Napoli this summer, and that he wanted to leave the club to join a team that plays Champions League football.

The rebuttal from Antonio Conte and the Napoli president came last week, and we understand the situation has not changed since then. Napoli have no current desires to entertain any offers for the player, and firmly stand by their line that he will remain at the club this season.

Kvaratskhelia’s stock will only have risen during the EURO’s after some sparkling performances with his country Georgia, and club’s are likely to be knocking down Napoli’s door trying to sign the player after they were knocked out last night against Spain. There’s a feeling this saga is not fully over at this stage, but as of right now, Napoli’s firm belief is that Kvicha Kvaratskhelia remains a Napoli player.
