Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret has been replaced at half-time of the Partenopei’s Champions League league phase clash against Premier League champions Arsenal.
After showing some distress in the first half, Meret was substituted at the interval, with Vanja Milinkovic-Savic coming on in his place.
The Italian goalkeeper appeared to be struggling with an adductor issue to the inside of his left thigh, although Napoli have not yet confirmed the precise nature of the problem.

According to PazzidiFanta, Meret will undergo medical tests in the coming hours to determine the extent of the injury and his potential recovery time.
It is an unwanted blow for Massimiliano Allegri, with Meret having started Napoli’s opening three Serie A fixtures of the season against Genoa, Como and Inter.
The goalkeeper had established himself as Allegri’s first choice between the posts, but his availability for Napoli’s upcoming fixtures will now depend on the results of the examinations.
Meret joins a growing list of injury concerns for Napoli, with Scott McTominay, Alessandro Buongiorno, Luca Marianucci and Giovane already missing. Furthermore, Andre Franck Zambo Anguissa missed out and Noa Lang was dropped due to disciplinary reasons.
