Serie A giants Napoli continued their impressive run of form in the league and beat Como 3-1 in Naples.
Scott McTominay was on the scoresheet in the league for the first time, days after scoring against Palermo in the Coppa Italia. Romelu Lukaku scored from the spot and later set up David Neres for the third goal, making sure that Nico Paz’s impressive showing went in vain.
The Scotsman, who has been in form for his new club, has now spoken to Sky Italia about the result and he stated that the side want to go game by game and are not thinking of the Serie A title race right now, despite being at top of the table in the league.
He said, as relayed by TMW: “Obviously we want to win, but we need to look at game after game. We want to play football and hope to win as many games as possible, listening to the coach.
“This is an important aspect to learn and for me it is essential to understand a new style of play, which the boys have done very well to help me. I play to play at my best, we need to look forward to the next match and for me this is important.”
Since losing to Verona in the first game of the season, Napoli have been near spotless and it is easy to see why there is talk of a title charge.
