National League side Dagenham and Redbridge came from behind twice to earn a draw with West Ham in a thrilling game at the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium.
Scorers: Effiong 26â˛, Ibie 71â˛; Cornet 7â˛, Mubama 52â˛.
Maxwel Cornet bagged himself a goal and an assist to give David Moyes some food for thought with the Ivorian breaking the deadlock from close range with a tidy finish after SaĂŻd Benrahma had regained possession in the Dagenham and Redbridge penalty area.
The hosts did draw level just before the half-hour mark with Inih Effiong equalising.
Cornetâs involvement was pivotal as he laid the ball on the plate for 18-year-old Divin Mubama to slot in from 12 yards out for his third goal in as many pre-season games.
But there was one final twist late in the second half as Sydney Ibie equalised again from the spot to halt West Hamâs winning run in pre-season.
The level of opposition goes up a notch next for the Hammers as they travel to France to take on Rennes next Saturday.
