And for those awaiting a decision on the future of Pep Guardiola from the man himself, one report on Tuesday detailed when you can expect that to arrive, and it may be a lot longer into the future than you could imagine.

Following an action packed day on the transfer front at Manchester City as we approach the 40-day mark of the window, here is everything you need to know to stay right up to date with all things ongoing within the Etihad Stadium recruitment offices.

Arrivals

Manchester City are set to make the Sávio deal official this week. (Fabrizio Romano, X)

Savio is unlikely to be joined by many new faces at Manchester City this summer unless there are outgoings in Pep Guardiola’s squad. (Simon Bajkowski, Manchester Evening News)

As of now, Joshua Kimmich wants to complete his Bayern Munich contract until 2025. (Tobi Altschäffl, Christian Falk)

The expectation is that Manchester City will make least two more additions to their first-team squad this summer after Savio. (Tolmie’s Hairdoo, X)

Departures

Julián Álvarez is Atlético Madrid’s first choice to replace Álvaro Morata. The Manchester City striker wants more playing time and the La Liga club are happy to make him one of the pillars of Diego Simeone’s new project. (Rodrigo Faez, ESPN)

Atletico Madrid are aware that Manchester City will not make things easy for them and so they are not ruling out a loan deal for Julian Alvarez. (Rodrigo Faez, ESPN)

Manchester City have agreed to send Callum Doyle on loan to Norwich. There is no option to buy but the Championship side are paying a loan fee. Doyle must now wait to see if he is included in Pep Guardiola’s final squad for City’s tour of the USA. With limited back up options for Josko Gvardiol, the 20-year-old could be kept on for the friendly games. (Nick Mashiter, BBC Sport)

Negotiations between Al Nassr and Manchester City for Ederson are currently OFF after an initial €30 million proposal was rejected and a €60 million request was made by City. Al Nassr have now turned to Athletico Paranaense’s Bento. (Fabrizio Romano, X)

The Football Association would consider the idea of appointing an interim in order to try and coax Pep Guardiola as England manager if he does decide to leave Manchester City in 2025. (Miguel Delaney, Independent)

As things stand, Julian Alvarez could be the biggest name to leave Manchester City this window. Atletico Madrid are really serious and the player fancies it. Should the La Liga club get anywhere near £80 million, ‘the wheels may turn quickly’. Madrid ticks a lot of boxes in terms of size, lifestyle, and wanted starts. (Tolmie’s Hairdoo, X)

Manchester City may demand a first option buy-back if they do let Julian Alvarez move to Atletico Madrid or anywhere else. (Tolmie’s Hairdoo, X)

Al Nassr are now close to securing the signing of goalkeeper Bento, who has been spotted at the airport and potentially heading to Portugal for their pre-season training camp. (Sam C, X)

Julián Álvarez is pressuring Manchester City to let him leave the club as he considers the opportunity presented by Atlético Madrid to be ‘very appealing’ and ‘exactly what he is looking for’. Alvarez wants and hopes to play for Atléti, and hopes City will let him join Diego Simeone’s squad. (Juan Cortese, Bendita Aficion Rojiblanca)

Contract Renewals

Pep Guardiola is expected to decide on his Manchester City future between December and February of next season. Guardiola remains unsure and so is minded to take the decision midway through the season. (Jamie Jackson, Guardian)
