According to Nosso Palestra, Naves is not in Palmeiras' plans after his loan ends in July 2026, and he would prefer to continue in Europe rather than return.

The academy graduate had limited opportunities under Abel Ferreira before joining Portugal's Alverca on loan midway through the 2025 campaign.

This season he has 18 appearances and one goal, and has captained the side in many matches, standing out in the competition.

Portuguese clubs have recently shown interest following those displays. Alverca have indicated to people close to the player that they will speak with Palmeiras after the deal expires, with a view to a permanent agreement.

With Naves out on loan, Palmeiras are exploring the market for a centre-back. The squad currently includes Gustavo Gómez, Murilo, Bruno Fuchs and Benedetti, while Micael, signed in early 2025, is in advanced talks over a loan to Inter Miami in the United States.
