NBB: Corinthians host namesakes, eyeing consecutive wins

On the evening of this Monday (29th), Corinthians will host their namesake União Corinthians at the Wlamir Marques Gymnasium, Parque São Jorge, at 8 PM (Brasília time), in a match valid for the 19th game of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). Currently, the Alvinegro occupies the sixth position in the national competition with 12 wins and six losses – 30 points.

In the last NBB round, held last Saturday (27th), Corinthians faced Caxias do Sul at home and won 100 to 60, securing a spot in the Super 8 Cup – where the winner qualifies for the Americas Champions League. Before achieving the last victory, the Alvinegro was coming off two consecutive losses, both away, against Pinheiros and Paulistano.

Coach Jece Leite intends to field the following team to start the match: Elinho, Rafael Munford, Davaunta Thomas, Victão, and Lucas Cauê.

Next Commitment

After facing União Corinthians at home, Corinthians remains focused on the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). The club from Parque São Jorge returns to the court on January 8th (Thursday), at 8 PM (Brasília time), against Minas, for the 20th game of the national competition.
