Neco Williams has signed a new Nottingham Forest contract to 2030, committing the Wales full-back to the City Ground. The 25-year-old agreed fresh terms after being voted Forest’s fans’ player of the season in 2025-26.

His previous deal ran to 2029 following an extension in summer 2025. Chief football officer George Syrianos said in a club statement that Williams’ dependability and ambition have endeared him to team-mates and supporters, adding that retaining top performers is central to the club’s plan to keep developing.

Williams joined from Liverpool for £17 million in July 2022 and has made 163 Forest appearances, scoring four goals with 10 assists.

He played 53 times in all competitions last season and has started both of Forest’s opening two Premier League matches this term.

Signed as a right back, he has also impressed on the left, where his energy and work rate have stood out.

With several top-flight clubs taking notice, tying him to a long contract represents a significant boost for Oliver Glasner’s side.
