Nélson Semedo: wife in North Marmara Motorway crash, stable after scare | OneFootball

Nélson Semedo, the Benfica academy graduate now at Fenerbahçe, endured an anxious spell after his wife, Marlene Alvarenga, was involved in a road accident in Türkiye.

The incident happened on Monday two March as she travelled from Istanbul to Ankara to collect their children from school. On the North Marmara Motorway, the driver lost control and crashed. The club said in a statement that it had been informed of the accident and sent best wishes to her and the family.

The crash occurred at around 16:30 local time. She was taken to hospital with minor injuries and, by all indications, it was only a scare. She is well and stable.

This season for Fenerbahçe, the Portugal international has played 32 competitive matches, 19 in the Turkish Super Lig, nine in the Europa League and four in the Champions League.
