Nerea Eizagirre extends Real Sociedad contract to 2028 | OneFootball

Nerea Eizagirre has extended her Real Sociedad contract to 2028, a two-year renewal that includes an option for a further year.

The captain’s continuation was confirmed by the club in a statement. 10 years on from arriving in Zubieta, she will keep representing the txuri-urdin. She is the club’s second-highest appearance maker.

Proud to stay, she sees each new contract as exciting, considers extending her career at home special, and wants to keep doing so.

She formalised the deal at Anoeta alongside Joseba Ibarburu, Alex Uranga, Garbiñe Etxeberria and Maider Castillo. She underlined a desire to carry the badge and colours as high as possible, to pass on learned values, and thanked the team for their support during difficult moments this year.

Her commitment, leadership and sense of belonging have been hailed, her rise mirroring the women’s side and making her pivotal to a generation that has marked an era and taken the team to some of its greatest moments.
