The Netherlands have named their 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, with Memphis Depay of Corinthians included for his third finals.

According to Globo.com, head coach Ronald Koeman confirmed the party on Wednesday. Depay previously featured in Brazil in 2014 and at Qatar in 2022.

Captain Virgil van Dijk, Nathan Aké and Jurriën Timber are selected in defence, while Frenkie de Jong and Teun Koopmeiners bolster midfield. Cody Gakpo and Wout Weghorst are among the forwards.

Three-time runners-up, the Netherlands are chasing a first world title. In 2022 they went out to Argentina on penalties in the quarter-finals, and under Koeman the standout result of this cycle was a Euro 2024 semi-final run.

They are in Group F with Japan, Sweden and Tunisia, opening on 14 June against Japan at 17:00 Brasília time. Group F crosses with Brazil’s section, so the Dutch could meet Brazil in the first knockout round.

The 2026 tournament will be staged in the United States, Canada and Mexico, featuring 104 matches. The curtain-raiser is Mexico v South Africa on 11 June at the Estadio Azteca, the knockouts begin on 28 June, and the final is on 19 July at MetLife Stadium.
