Inter Milan are hopeful of welcoming back two key midfield figures in the coming days, with positive signs emerging on the recovery front for Nicolo Barella & Hakan Calhanoglu.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews all three will train at Appiano Gentile during the break.

When the squad reconvenes on Tuesday, both Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu could rejoin full group training if progress continues as planned.

The Nerazzurri spent the night in Parma ahead of their clash with Sassuolo.

Young wide players Cocchi and Kamate, both recently promoted from the Under-23 side by coach Cristian Chivu, travelled with the squad.

Meanwhile, the three injured senior players ,Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella and Denzel Dumfries, remained in Milan to continue their recovery work.

That timeline would place the Italian and Turkish midfielders in contention for the high-profile fixtures ahead.

Dumfries, however, may need a little more time before returning to full fitness.
