Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries is pushing hard for a speedy recovery as he works his way back from ankle surgery, with the World Cup also firmly in his sights.
According to Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, the coming weeks will be crucial.
The Netherlands international underwent an operation on his left ankle after suffering the injury on November 9, when it became trapped under the body of Mattia Zaccagni.
Since then, Dumfries has been fully focused on rehabilitation and returning to the pitch as soon as possible.
The right wing-back offered a glimpse into his recovery through his social media channels, sharing images of intense gym sessions and individual work.

Alongside the photos, Dumfries sent a clear message of intent, writing. “See you soon,” underlining his determination to get back into action.
Dumfries will continue with physiotherapy and aerobic work.
Days defined by demanding physical sessions aimed at accelerating his return to full fitness.
The objective is to resume on-pitch training and ball work as soon as his condition allows.
Inter are targeting a potential return in the first half of March, with Cristian Chivu hoping to have the Dutchman available again as the season enters a decisive phase.
Regaining rhythm will also be key with the World Cup scheduled for the end of the campaign.
Beyond his recovery, the report adds that Dumfries will also need to clarify his future in the coming months.
