Liverpool have reportedly submitted a new bid for the transfer of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola this morning at 9am.

The France international has long been linked with the Reds this summer, but these deals can take time, and there haven’t been many updates in the last few days.

Now, however, Indy Kaila is reporting that Liverpool have launched a new offer for Barcola today, so perhaps are moving in the right direction.

See below for the journalist’s post on X as LFC reportedly try again for Barcola…

“Our sources confirm Liverpool have submitted a 𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐁𝐈𝐃 for Bradley Barcola this morning at 9am UK time,” the post reads.

While Indy’s style may not be everyone’s cup of tea, we’ve worked with the team of reporters behind this account before, and they have some strong connections in the industry.

That doesn’t mean every story will prove 100% accurate – even Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein contradict each other at times.

Liverpool want Bradley Barcola

Still, it seems very clear that Liverpool want Barcola, with the 23-year-old linked time and time again with the Merseyside giants this summer.

See below as Romano has recently reported on Liverpool and PSG being in club-to-club talks over Barcola, so it makes sense that a new bid could come around some time now…

Time will tell if there was in fact a bid made this morning, but in general there seems to be the feeling that this deal is going somewhere.

Barcola would be a fantastic signing for Liverpool after the blow of losing Mohamed Salah, even if he plays a slightly different role.

Bradley Barcola could also be one to watch for Arsenal

Perhaps another reason for LFC to move quickly for Barcola is the threat of Arsenal, as mentioned recently by talkSPORT.

With the Gunners missing out on Vinicius Junior, they’ll need an alternative, and it will be interesting to see if they fancy their chances of swooping for Barcola before a deal can be finalised with Liverpool.

Even if Liverpool are a huge club with recent success, it’s perhaps easy to see Barcola viewing Arsenal as the more tempting option right now.

Mikel Arteta’s side are reigning Premier League champions, while Liverpool slipped down to fifth last season and have lost a few star players in quick succession, while there are no guarantees of how things will pan out under new manager Andoni Iraola.
