Birmingham City's new Powerhouse Stadium could include a nightclub to entertain commercial partners.
Birmingham City’s new stadium may include a ‘chairman’s suite’ that acts as a nightclub for commercial partners as they look to make their new site a multi-purpose venue.
It’s no secret that Blues have huge plans under their ambitious US owners, who have already pumped serious cash into improving the playing squad.
That helped produce a record-breaking promotion campaign from League One last season, but it’s just the start of the journey in the eyes of chairman Tom Wagner.

Of course, the main aim will be to reach the Premier League, but the club have already outlined their grand off-field plans, with a new stadium in the pipeline for the Midlands outfit.
The club shared plans for their new Powerhouse Stadium, which will be built in Bordersley Green, earlier this year, with the new ground set to have a capacity of over 60,000.
However, the exciting new Sports Quarter, which is expected to have major benefits for the local community, will be a lot more than just a football stadium, as Blues aim to make it a place that will attract interest all year round.
And, in a fresh development, Telegraph Sport has revealed that the Powerhouse Stadium could include a nightclub.
They explain that there have been talks about having a ‘chairman’s suite’ which will be used as a nightclub for ‘commercial partners’ who will be involved with the club.
Of course, the priority for Birmingham has to always be what happens on the pitch, and the reality is that Chris Davies’ side are underachieving this season when you look at the investment that has gone into the squad.

So, in that sense, fans may not care too much about their new stadium having a nightclub, as the only way the club is going to fulfil their undoubted potential is if they get results on the pitch.
Nevertheless, this is another example of the major ambitions that Blues have, and it should excite supporters that the club are looking to make this different to most football stadiums you see.
They are exploring different ways to raise the profile and revenue of the club, and having things like a nightclub in the stadium will ensure Blues stand out from the rest.
In the modern game, it’s increasingly important to do that, and it’s evident that Birmingham’s aim in the years to come is to become a force both on and off the pitch.
The new stadium will take Blues to another level once it is completed, with the hope that it will be ready for the 2030/31 season.
