Largie Ramazani made a huge decision regarding his Manchester United future before he ultimately signed for Leeds United

Burnley completed the signing of Largie Ramazani on deadline day following an agreement with Leeds United.

The Clarets confirmed the addition of the winger on loan for the remainder of the season in the final hours of the transfer market.

The Lancashire outfit have committed to an obligation to buy clause, meaning he will sign on a permanent basis in the 2027 summer window.

The 25-year-old previously helped the Whites gain promotion to the Premier League in 2025 under Daniel Farke, and Nicky Hayen will be hoping he can help his side do the same this season.

Ramazani came through the Manchester United academy system before he ended up at Elland Road.

The winger made his professional debut for the Red Devils in November 2019, coming off the bench in a Europa League clash away to FC Astana under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

He didn’t feature again for the Premier League side that season, and ultimately made the decision to depart the club that summer.

The forward was offered a new deal in the summer of 2020, but he rejected the chance to stay at Old Trafford in favour of a move to Spanish football, where joined Almeria.

Ramazani was a squad option for Almeria in his first year with the club, but he stepped into a prominent position in the team a year later, helping the Spanish outfit earn promotion to La Liga.

He contributed eight goals and one assists, with the side winning the second division title in the process.

After two seasons in the top flight, Almeria suffered relegation back to the second tier, with Ramazani having made 62 appearances in La Liga, scoring on six occasions.

He made the switch to Leeds in the 2024 summer transfer window following their defeat in the Championship play-off final against Southampton in the previous campaign, and the 25-year-old contributed six goals and two assists for Farke’s side as they went on to clinch the Championship title.

And a loan spell at Valencia last season again saw him score on six occasions, this time from 27 appearances in La Liga, before signing for Burnley on deadline day earlier this week.

In La Liga last season, Ramazani had a big impact in the final third for Valencia, contributing a combined expected goals and expected assists (xG+xA) per 90 of 0.41 (all stats from Fotmob).

He created 1.18 chances and took 3.75 shots each game, proving a real threat in the final third of the Spanish top flight.

The winger had 0.51 successful crosses per 90 at a success rate of 24.1 per cent of all crosses, while also completing 1.62 dribbles at a success rate of 40 per cent.

He is a tricky player for defenders to handle, and he’s already proven that he can compete for a top Championship side, so he has the potential to be a quality addition for a struggling Burnley side.
