The 18-year-old becomes Chelsea’s latest signing after Tosin Adarabioyo joined on a free transfer from Fulham, with Marc Guiu and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall close to completing moves to west London.

Kellyman reveals Chelsea ambitions

Kellyman only joined Villa two years ago from the Derby academy where he had spent ten years, but stood out for Villa in the Premier League 2 where he made 21 appearances, scoring ten goals and providing two assists.

Unai Emery clearly liked what he saw in the attacking midfielder and Kellyman was given an opportunity with the first team, making six appearances in all competitions, with two of those coming in the Premier League.

The teenager is the latest of a number of talented youngsters to join the club over the last two years, but Kellyman revealed seeing young players stepping into the first team was an attraction to join Chelsea.

Kellyman clearly doesn’t lack confidence and believes in his ability and revealed he has big aims for his time at the club.

“I want to be successful in the Chelsea shirt, to win games and hopefully trophies,” he added.

“Over time hopefully, I can become one of the faces on the side of the stadium. I want to become a big player for this club.”
