New Crystal Palace signing Jaydee Canvot called up to France U21 squad | OneFootball

It has been quite the week for Jaydee Canvot (19), who just days after completing a deadline day move from Toulouse FC to Crystal Palace, has now been called into the France U21 squad.

Canvot joined Crystal Palace on deadline day in a move worth €27m. It comes after a breakthrough at formative club Toulouse last season. Just two days after his move to the Premier League, the defender has been called into the France U21 squad.

It comes after Stade Rennais’ Jérémy Jacquet was forced to pull out after sustaining a calf injury against SCO Angers over the weekend. Whilst the injury is not thought to be serious, he is not expected to be fit for Les Bleuets matches against Luxembourg and Serbia. The first game is a Euro 2027 qualifier, the second is simply a friendly.

Canvot will be looking to make his France U21 debut in the coming days before returning to his new club, Crystal Palace.
