FC Bayern are once again being linked with a prominent name for their defense. According to transfer reporter Ekrem Konur, the Munich club are interested in Evan N’Dicka from AS Roma. The former Frankfurt player is said to be on the radar of several top European clubs
As Ekrem Konur reports on X, Juventus Turin, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona are also monitoring the central defender’s situation alongside FC Bayern
Juventus in particular are said to be preparing concrete steps and working on an offer for AS Roma, with a transfer fee of between 40 and 50 million euros currently being mooted for N’Dicka
However, the report does not reveal how concrete FC Bayern’s interest actually is. Nevertheless, the link is not entirely surprising. Although Munich have tied down their current centre-back duo of Jonathan Tah and Dayot Upamecano for the long term, the situation behind them remains interesting
Minjae Kim and Hiroki Ito are currently regarded as alternatives, but speculation about Kim’s possible departure continues unabated
After signing Tah, the South Korean has increasingly lost his place as a regular and has been repeatedly linked with other clubs
Should Kim actually leave the club, another central defender could well become an issue for FC Bayern

Evan N’Dicka would by no means be an unknown profile for Munich. The Ivorian international played for Eintracht Frankfurt between 2018 and 2023 and made a strong impression in the Bundesliga
In the 2022 Europa League season in particular, the central defender was one of the defining figures of the Frankfurt team, with N’Dicka sensationally winning the title with SGE
In the summer of 2023, the left-back moved to AS Roma on a free transfer and quickly became a permanent fixture in Italy. The 26-year-old has now played 125 competitive matches for the Giallorossi and even captained the team at times
His versatility, calmness in the build-up play and physical presence make N’Dicka interesting for many top clubs. Especially as a left-sided central defender, the Ivorian has a profile that is comparatively rare to find on the market
However, it remains to be seen whether FC Bayern will actually make a concrete move. At the moment, the Munich club’s offensive continues to enjoy priority. Nevertheless, the personnel matter shows that those responsible are also continuing to keep a close eye on the defense – especially with a view to possible departures in the summer.
