Former Leeds United and Rotherham United boss Steve Evans has been on a remarkable weight loss journey since he was sacked by the Millers in March.
The 62-year-old has been in charge at several clubs in the EFL during his managerial career so far, but he has been out of work since he left League One side Rotherham United earlier this year.
It would be fair to say that the Scot has made the most of his time away from the dugout, as he has impressively lost six-and-a-half stone.
He has previously been labelled a 'fat man' by ex-Bristol Rovers manager Joey Barton, while former Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer referred to him as a 'big geezer' after he saw his team beaten by Evans' Peterborough United side, but he has turned over a new leaf this year, and now looks almost unrecognisable.
Evans explained that his four young grandchildren were a key motivation for losing the weight, as per an interview with Sky Sports.
"I want to be around when they are 25, 30," Evans said.
"I want to see them have kids. Is that possible? Yeah, it is possible.
"I do 50 to 70 lengths. Then I will do some biking. Then I will do the sauna.
"There are very much planned meals for lunch and planned meals for dinner.
"I would want a biscuit or some snacks but I am over that now. So very much it is about calorie-control management."
A new image has emerged which shows the outcome of Evans' journey, and he looks far different now compared to how he did the last time he was seen on the sideline in the EFL.
A new image of Evans has emerged which shows the result of the consistent hard work he has put in since leaving Rotherham in March, as per FourFourTwo via X.
The Scot can be seen pictured walking his two dogs in the woods — an activity which he has been carrying out in the evenings over the course of his weight loss journey.
The post also reveals that several football figures have congratulated Evans on his success, including England international Ivan Toney, Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood, and Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez.
Most EFL fans would be able to quickly pick Steve Evans out in a crowd, given his influence and longevity in the game, but it may now take a couple of glances for them to recognise him given his remarkable transformation.
Now that Evans has achieved his goal of losing a significant amount of weight, he has his sights set on returning to football management and achieving the tenth promotion of his career, as per Sky Sports.
"I think nine promotions to me is an unlucky number. Ten is a good number," Evans explained.
"Football is adrenaline, isn't it? It is a drug. And I want to be back in the everyday heat of the battle, whether that is on the training ground or at matches. I am missing that again now."
Evans revealed that he was in talks with Scottish side Motherwell over a return to management, but after sitting down with his family he decided to focus on his mission of becoming healthier.
It will be no surprise when the seasoned EFL manager lands his next role, but he may catch one or two people off guard with his new and improved appearance.
