Celtic’s 1966/67 campaign is unprecedented in the club’s long and illustrious history, and most likely in the football world too.
That was the season when Jock Stein’s side won every trophy they competed for – the traditional domestic Treble of the league, League Cup and Scottish Cup – along with the Glasgow Cup and, of course, the European Cup.
And 60 years on from Celtic’s historic 1966/67 campaign, this season’s official match programme is celebrating the incredible achievements of Jock Stein’s side with a special series of 19 collectable programmes.
For each home Premiership fixture, the front cover will feature an iconic figure from that season, and the programme for the Aberdeen game on Wednesday night features Bertie Auld.
And as each programme is published – 19 in total – they will form a stunning montage of the players and management that is a must for any Celtic fan to collect (see image below).
It's on sale at the stadium on a matchday, and also available in the Celtic Superstore and official Celtic retail stores.

Our first league game against Dundee featured Billy McNeill, while for the Falkirk game, Jimmy Johnstone was the cover star. Now, for the latest match programme, Bertie Auld is the featured Celtic legend.
Each issue will also have in-depth features and archive features with the cover star, while the posters will also form the same stunning collage as the cover – a great piece of Celtic artwork to adorn any bedroom wall!
And each league programme will be accompanied by a special episode of the Official Celtic FC Podcast, featuring archive interviews with the Celtic legends who were part of that historic season.
So we hope you can join us on this celebration of the historic 1966/67 season, and in the match programme for the Aberdeen game, you can enjoy looking back on the incredible Celtic career of Bertie Auld.
Our next home league game after Aberdeen will be against Rangers on Sunday, September 20 (KO: 12noon), when the cover star will be Joe McBride. So make sure you pick up your copy of that programme.
The official Celtic match programme will be available on a matchday from sellers outside the stadium, and can also be purchased in the Celtic Superstore. To order a copy online, click on the link below.
