Former Monaco head coach is now reportedly in the frame

Tottenham could again be looking for a new manager this season after Sunday’s home defeat to Nottingham Forest left the club deep in the relegation mire.

Billed as a relegation six-pointer and a must-win game, Spurs buckled under the pressure and collapsed to a 3-0 defeat that leaves them just one point above the bottom three.

It saw Spurs come crashing back down to earth after a deserved point won away at Liverpool the week prior was followed up by a rousing win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

It means current manager Igor Tudor has lost five and drawn one of his six Premier League games in charge, and is under serious threat of the sack.

But who could Spurs turn to as a replacement for Tudor?

Sean Dyche is again most heavily tipped by the bookmakers, ahead of fan favourite Mauricio Pochettino and former Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi.

The return of former Spurs players Ryan Mason and Robbie Keane have been warm in the betting, though it remains to be seen if either fancy the task of saving the club from the drop.

One former Tottenham man who has confirmed his eagerness for the role is Harry Redknapp, but having been out of work for nine years, it would be quite the bold move to hand him the reins.

From thereon, the odds get more and more fanciful, but a name which has gained traction in recent days is that of Adi Hutter.

The 56-year-old Austrian was earlier this season sacked by Monaco, and has been out of work since.

Reports of interest from Spurs in Hutter first emerged last week in Italy, and were echoed by the Telegraph on Sunday following Sunday’s miserable defeat.
