New Real Madrid signing Franco Mastantuono has on Thursday grabbed the headlines across the Spanish football landscape.

This comes after the youngster was asked to name, in his eyes, the best player in world football.

Mastantuono is for his part in the midst of an altogether special day.

On his 18th birthday, the Argentine was at long last unveiled in front of the media as the latest member of Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid squad.

Mastantuono, in turn, was drawn on a whole host of topics, ranging from his goals at the Santiago Bernabéu to his new teammates and beyond.

And as alluded to above, one particular response provided by the midfielder has since turned heads across Spain and beyond.

This comes with Mastantuono having revealed his take that:

“For me, Leo Messi is the best in the world. I’m Argentine and I think the best is him and I have nothing more to say.”
