Milan Mayor Beppe Sala urges Inter and Milan to unveil their new stadium rendering ‘very soon’, with Gazzetta reporting that the two clubs are expected to present the design within the next month.

Milan and Inter are working to build their new stadium in time for Euro 2032. The two Serie A clubs acquired the San Siro area, including the Stadio Meazza, in November last year.

The design of the new stadium is being shaped by Foster+Partners and Manica Studios. According to Gazzetta, they are expected to complete their rendering within a month. The two firms are also responsible for London’s new Wembley Stadium.

“I hope the clubs will unveil the new stadium rendering very soon and confirm that the venue will be ready for the 2032 European Championship,” Milan Mayor Sala said on Monday, via Gazzetta.

According to the Italian sports paper, the plan is to begin construction outside the existing Stadio Meazza at the end of the season and finish the stadium by 2031 to meet UEFA’s requirements, making Milan one of the venues for Euro 2032.

Roma’s new stadium is expected to be completed much earlier, as the Giallorossi got the go-ahead to begin construction on Monday and hope to finish by 2029.
