New Scotland head coach Sebastien Pocognoli names first squad | OneFootball

New Scotland head coach Sébastien Pocognoli has named his first ever squad ahead of the extended international break.

The former Belgium defender was named as the successor to Steve Clarke a month ago with Scotland set to for their first games since summer's World Cup.

Pocognoli's side will begin their Nations League B campaign away o to Slovenia before welcoming Switzerland, travelling to take on North Macedonia, and finally hosting the Slovenians.

One headline name included is Hull City attacker Oli McBurnie who has earned his first call-up to the national team in five years.

The new Scotland boss could also hand debuts to several uncapped players in the squad: Jon McCracken, former England youth international Luis Binks, Colby Donovan, Luke Graham, Josh McPake, Stephen Welsh, and Sevilla's Robbie Ure.

Of course, one man who won't be included is Scott McTominay who is still recovering from a heart procedure he had earlier this month on a benign arrhythmia but he is expected to return to action following the international break.
