Newcastle have reportedly been offered the chance to re-sign former striker Papiss Cissé.
Cissé – who currently plays for Turkish Süper Lig side Antalyaspor – has scored nine goals in nine games this season.
According to TeamTalk, the 34-year-old is eyeing a move back to England with just six months left on his current deal.
Newcastle are struggling for goals under Steve Bruce and could view Cissé as a useful short-term option.
Club record signing Joelinton has just one goal in 10 appearances, while striking alternatives Andy Carroll and Yoshinori Muto remain scoreless.
The former Senegal international spent four seasons at St James’ Park between 2012-16, scoring 37 goals.
