Newcastle ‘to ponder’ Joao Gomes as Wolves ‘to eye’ Adrian Blake | OneFootball

Newcastle have discussed Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes as a possible target, The Athletic reports.

Newcastle sold Sandro Tonali to Tottenham Hotspur for £100million this summer, while Bruno Guimaraes is strongly linked with a move to Arsenal. The report says Gomes has been mentioned in planning at St James' Park.

Gomes has played 116 Premier League games for Wolves and has scored seven league goals since joining from Flamengo in 2023.

Wolves are reportedly interested in FC Utrecht winger Adrian Blake this summer. Burnley and Celtic are also in the frame, Sky Sports News says.

The former Watford wide player made three senior appearances in 2022-23. He has nine goals and five assists in 63 outings for Utrecht, including four goals and two assists last term. The 20-year-old has one year left on his contract and is valued at around £2.5million.
