Noah Atubolu’s hopes of joining Newcastle United appear to be fading as the Magpies close in on Ewen Jaouen.
Bild reports Newcastle are on the verge of signing the 20-year-old goalkeeper from Stade Reims, a development that would disappoint the Freiburg stopper.

Atubolu had set his sights on Newcastle to realise a Premier League ambition, but that scenario now looks unrealistic.
He has no future at Freiburg, who have already signed Mio Backhaus from Werder Bremen as his replacement.
