Speaking ahead of Wednesday night’s match against Paris Saint-Germain, Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe confirmed that Joelinton would be out.
PSG and Newcastle meet at the Parc des Princes in what is essentially a shootout for a place in the top eight. Joelinton’s absence is a blow. Howe said that the Brazilian may be out for a few weeks. And there is also a question mark surrounding the participation of Bruno Guimaraes. The club captain missed the defeat to Aston Villa due to injury and is touch-and-go.
The Premier League side are also without Tino Livramento and Fabian Schar for tonight’s game at the Parc des Princes, whilst Emil Krafth also misses out. Jamaal Lascelles is ineligible for this game, having not been included in the UCL squad.
