Unite For Access uses two weeks of the sporting calendar (28 February – 15 March) as part of a collective effort to champion inclusive experiences for fans living with disabilities.

With recent research from Level Playing Field showing that 23% of disabled fans feel excluded from sporting venues due to accessibility issues, Newcastle United has taken action.

TOURS TAILORED FOR EVERY FAN

A new programme of Accessible Stadium Tours has been introduced for the 2025/26 season, each designed to be educational, welcoming, and fully accessible.

  • Visually Impaired tour (new for 2025/26)
  • A sensory journey through St. James’ Park, featuring enhanced audio description from tour guides. Discover the club’s history through touch: from the fabric of a Newcastle United kit to the texture of historic club crests.
  • British Sign Language tour (new for 2025/26)
  • Led by professional BSL interpreter guides, these tours ensure Deaf and hard-of-hearing fans catch every story, anecdote and behind-the-scenes secret.
  • Tour Down Memory Lane (new for 2025/26)
  • A gentle stroll through the heritage and heroes of Newcastle United. Perfect for older generations looking to relive iconic Magpies moments at a relaxed pace.
  • Autism-friendly tour
  • Developed in partnership with the North East Autism Society, this sensory-conscious tour offers a calm journey through the dressing rooms and dugouts, with smaller groups and reduced noise.
  • Wheelchair access
  • Our Classic Stadium Tour is fully suited to wheelchair users and ambulant disabled fans with limited mobility. Visitors should share access requirements with the tours team in advance to ensure a smooth experience.
