The club have been publicly challenged to show where Newcastle United tickets go.

This applies to both home and away tickets, with fans increasingly frustrated by the lack of transparency,

NUST (Newcastle United Supporters Trust) has sent an open letter to the club, asking for the clarity and transparency that should be the bare minimum that fans get.

“This issue has been raised by the Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST) on multiple occasions, and the failure to provide clarity is contributing to growing frustration, mistrust, and division within the fanbase.

“The information we are requesting is straightforward, reasonable, and in the public interest. There is no credible reason why it cannot be shared. In fact, doing so would demonstrate the club’s respect for its supporters and commitment to fair process…

As the letter points out, it is simply embarrassing for the Newcastle United owners and senior staff to claim that the information is ‘commercially sensitive’, as a valid reason for not telling fans what the truth is.

Whether that is how many Newcastle United members are and how many tickets go into ballots and queue sales each home match.

Or what happens with tickets for away games, exactly how many tickets go to season ticket holders, especially when there is a limited allocation.

The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and other clubs make public this kind of information to their fans, absolutely no reason why Newcastle United shouldn’t do the same.
