Newcastle will be without Anthony Elanga, Amar Dedic, Jacob Ramsey and Nico Gonzalez for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Hull City, Matthias Jaissle has confirmed.

Elanga is set to undergo a scan after suffering an injury, with Jaissle admitting the club are still waiting to discover the full extent of the problem.

“No real update on Anthony,” the Newcastle boss said.

“I’ve spoken with him now, he is heading for an MRI scan. We will get more clarity after that, and hope it’s not too serious.”

Jaissle confirmed there will be no injured players returning for the visit of Hull, with Dedic and Ramsey also unavailable.

“We have no new players coming back for the Hull game,” he added.

“We have some injured players missing, but we use that as an opportunity for others.

“Anthony and Amar will not be able to play on Saturday. JJ is injured.”

The Newcastle boss is hopeful the international break will give his sidelined players enough time to recover.

“Hopefully after the international break our injury list is shorter,” Jaissle said.

Gonzalez suffered a head injury in the defeat to Leeds, while Joelinton, William Osula and Dan Burn are also expected to remain sidelined until after the international break.
